Passport Software, Inc., has fixed an error in the printing of 2004 W-2's.
This problem, and the fix, affects only those people using either the
multi-city or multi-state options of the Payroll package. The error and
fix #SPR690, caused the W-2 print program to loop in some cases on an
employee who was involved with multiple jurisdictions.
Paper W-2's for single jurisdictions
and all magnetic media are unaffected - this is true for running the Federal
and State portions either separately or combined.
Both RW32 Version 10.5.3 and PBS Version 11.1 are affected by this error.
Fixes for RW32 Version 10.5.3 and PBS Version 11.1 for Windows, Unix/Linux
are available via e-mail from Passport
Support and also will be available from the Passport website, effective
Thursday, December 30th, 12:00 PM CT, as downloadable patches.
